Rich-N-Tone Butch Straight Barrel
RNT Old Style Butch Richenback Straight Barrel Single Reed Duck Call. Butch Richenback's (founder of Rich-N-Tone Calls in 1976) earliest calls, were unbranded and had no lanyard groove. He emulated the shape of his uncle’s call, Clyde Hancock. In the early stages, he experimented with the lip of his calls. He even made one or two of these first calls with no lip. This Butch Straight Barrel is a 1/4” bore timber style call.
The call was made with a ¼’ hole bore to produce a quiet call desired heavily at the time by green timber hunters on the Grand Prairie. RNT kept the same sound and looks to this early little call, along with adding an o-ring and a lanyard groove to aid in preventing cracked barrels and lost stoppers.
